We had outgrown our space at 170 Emerald Street and decided it was time for a change and a chance to increase the quality of our work environment. We had been at the Emerald Street location since the creation of WV Engineering, and we enjoyed many successful years there, but we found a growing need for more space as staff increased.
The new office provides a more efficient office layout by creating dedicated areas for the two engineering departments (electrical and mechanical) that are mirror images of each other. The two departments share a central plotting area and central clerical area. Offices and cubicles are located along the four exterior perimeter walls with a central main entry to the clerical area. We currently occupy two floors within the building. Both the electrical and mechanical departments now have their own reference libraries for their specific products.
We are looking forward to having our new offices fitted with a variety of modern office lighting solutions. Like many retrofit offices spaces, our facility has limited ceiling height requiring creative use of different light fixture types and scenarios for modern office lighting.
