Conducted Facility Energy Audit of Medical Research/instruction facility, consisting of 4 adjacent connected, 8 story buildings, total of 290,000 SF in downtown Boston. Modeled energy consumption, to improve HVAC systems including cogeneration analysis, use of steam absorption chillers, and steam turbine driven equipment. Report and energy model sustained three (3) peer reviews for conceptual soundness and technical accuracy, and received the approval of each. Negotiation with utilities resulted in the selection of two alternate recommendations that have proceeded to design. Total construction budget of $17.5 million project, with $13.5 million allocated for mechanical systems.

Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Corporation, Vernon, VT
Electrical and HVAC engineering and design for new three story Office Support Building for engineering and support at Vermont Yankee Generation Plant. Design work included coordination meetings with architect, owners maintenance representatives, owners telecommunications representative, owners telecommunications and computer vendor/installer, and owners information management systems staff. Design included central computer and telecommunications room with remote telecommunications closets with CAT 5 rack and patch panel equipment for distribution throughout the floors. Coordinated efforts with all parties for relocation of computer equipment as departments moved from existing quarters to the new facility.
