WV Engineering was incorporated in 1991 providing Engineering and Design for projects throughout New England. WVA is a responsive, forward-looking firm. We customize services as required to meet the needs of each client.

Our work includes a wide variety of projects including commercial, industrial, institutional, educational, recreational and residential facilities.

We pride ourselves on our creative engineering solutions which are practical and cost effective, tailoring system selection to specific building owner goals, maintenance arrangements, construction and operating budgets.

We have worked with developers and property managers on a range of commercial projects including resort, retail, recreational and residential projects.

The firm also specializes in providing engineering services to managers of large institutional and industrial facilities, and understands the unique issues facing owners’ engineering and maintenance staffs. Our capabilities includes extensive experience where a critical process, data center or health care facilities must be available on a 24 hour basis to serve the needs of the facility’s clients.

WV’s staff works with Energy Modeling software and Life Cycle Cost Analysis to support LEED requirements. Our completed projects include energy audits, engineering studies and system evaluations. We perform all related mechanical and electrical cost estimating, engineering and specification writing in house.

Our ongoing projects with architects, building owners, construction managers, design/build contractors and vendors keep our systems knowledge and construction cost information up to date.

The company has extensive experience in the production of facilities engineering documents with AutoCad and REVIT drafting software. Our staff has used AutoCad continuously in the consulting engineering environment since 1985, and presently uses the most recent release. Our office makes significant and productive use of custom AutoCad menus developed in house to serve the specialized needs of the Mechanical and Electrical disciplines. Custom macros, Autolisp routines, script files and batch files are developed as required to increase productivity, document quality and to clearly present the contract work.

Our design and production team uses other current industry standard computer applications for lighting design layouts, voltage drop, power factor correction, economic analysis/life cycle cost, and heating & cooling load calculations, along with the latest word processing, spreadsheet and relational database applications, to support each project’s unique requirements.

All workstations are connected to our server utilizing cloud technology for quick access of all e-mail, client correspondence, specifications, vendor equipment information and drawings.  This allows us to quickly access and exchange files for efficient project coordination.

We actively maintain professional and association memberships with the American Institute of Architects, Association of Energy Engineers,  American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers, Associated Builders and Contractors, National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, National Fire Protection Association, and International Code Council.
